Iranian lawmakers denounce European Parliament’s anti-Iranian resolution
February 1, 2026Members of the Iranian Parliament issued a statement on January 25 to strongly denounce the European Parliament for adopting an anti-Iranian resolution.
The EP recently adopted a resolution that says that the Iranian Islamic Revolution Guards Corps is designated as a “terrorist organization” while talking about alleged human rights violation. As regards this, the statement labelled it as an interference in the country’s internal affairs, disclosing that it aims to cover up the failure to settle the internal issue of the EU.
Revealing that a terrorist group, which recently acted in Iran, contacted European intelligence services, it noted that the EP and the governments of interventionist European countries are legally and politically responsible for aiding and instigating terrorist acts.
It is unreasonable for the EP to have designated the Iranian Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, which plays the biggest role in the fight against terrorism, as a “terrorist organization”, it noted.
