Thanks to the Workers’ Party of Korea's plan and energetic guidance to provide the people with better welfare, a revolution in construction has been brought about and the entities of socialist civilization are mushrooming in the DPRK.

The revolution in construction we carry out is a worthwhile undertaking to create the wealth of the country and, at the same time, a process of the cultural revolution.

This revolution, aimed at creating material wealth by setting new standards and making new innovations in the whole course of construction including architectural design, is not simply the work of setting and enforcing new formative and technical standards of construction.

It leads the people to civilization in the new era and enables them to raise their cultural level.

People’s cultured living environment cannot be improved without construction.

Seeing all the structures, including modern dwelling houses and new villages, mushrooming in the capital and provinces, the people keenly realize the height of civilization intended by the Party.

Through the construction process, builders themselves become creators of new culture and new civilization as they actively introduce advanced construction methods.

When the splendid bases for cultural life are built in cities and counties, bases for regional development, and all the regional people possess rich emotional feelings and cultural attainments, leading a life in good health under excellent conditions and environment, great progress will be made in the work for achieving cultural progress in the provinces.
