China demands Japan reflect on its history of aggression, denounces EU’s discriminatory policy

A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of China at a press conference on February 4 censured the Japanese prime minister for insisting that she would specify the Self-Defense Forces in the constitution.

During the Second World War, Japanese militarism brought great disasters to the region and the world, he said, adding that the issue of revising the constitution of Japan as a defeated nation has always received considerable attention from the international community and neighbouring Asian countries.

China strongly demands Japan seriously reflect on its history of aggression and lend an ear to the voice for peace against war at home, he stressed.

That day the spokesman condemned the European Union for taking discriminatory and restrictive measures against Chinese businesses and clarified the Chinese government’s stand to resolutely defend the just and legitimate rights and interests of Chinese businesses.
