Russian FM censures US, West for pursuing hostile policy
February 15, 2026Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov condemned the United States and the West for pursuing a hostile policy in an interview on February 9.
The present US administration is putting pressure upon its rivals by imposing sanctions against Russian oil firms and taking other measures, and is struggling to damage the military cooperative relations between Russia and India and other BRICS member nations, which are Russia’s friends, he disclosed.
The West has started a global war against his country and is going on a rampage to “punish” the friends of Russia, he blasted.
Under such circumstances, Russia should strive to reliably ensure its security and will never allow any kind of weapon threatening its security interests to appear in the Ukrainian territory, he noted.
