Friendship gathering for Chinese embassy officials held
February 16, 2026A friendship gathering for staff members of the Chinese embassy in Pyongyang took place at the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area on February 14 on the occasion of the lunar New Year's Day in 2026.
Present there were Pak Myong Ho, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, and other officials of the Foreign Ministry, Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK Wang Yajun and staff members of his embassy.
The participants went round various parts of the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area, known as a famous maritime park for its unique and attractive coastal landscape.
The DPRK Foreign Ministry gave a reception for the lunar New Year's Day at the Kalmaegi Hotel in the evening.
The participants in the reception shared the joy of greeting the lunar New Year's Day, a traditional folk holiday of the Korean and Chinese peoples, and deepened friendship, expressing their will to develop the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries, true to the noble intention of the top leaders of the DPRK and China.
