Russian FM refers to orientation of diplomacy
February 17, 2026Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov mentioned the orientation of the country’s diplomatic work in a video speech on February 10.
Today, diplomacy makes a contribution to creating a secure and favourable external environment for the gradual development of the country and the improvement of its citizens’ life and Russia’s consistent and objective foreign policy line has an enormous influence on the change and development of the world to promote the establishment of a new multipolar world order, he said.
Russia is interested in countering all manner of neocolonial acts ranging from unilateral coercive measures to military intervention and further strengthening honest and equal international cooperation on the principle of mutual understanding, trust and good-neighbourly relationship, he stressed.
