The time is drawing near when the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, an important political event in the history of the WPK and the DPRK, will be held amid the great expectations and interest of the entire Party members and all other people of the country.

The preparations for the Ninth Congress of the WPK, which will be an important watershed in the WPK’s history of leadership, were completed and deputies representing the entire Party, who will play an active role in the vanguard of the new sacred course, left for the venue of the congress.

Deputies and observers who will attend the Ninth Congress of the Party arrived in Pyongyang, the capital of the revolution, on February 16.

Ri Hi Yong, Kim Tok Hun and Choe Tong Myong, secretaries of the WPK Central Committee, and other officials of the Party Central Committee warmly greeted the participants in the congress.

Pyongyang citizens warmly welcomed the delegates in the streets.
