The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council of China held a meeting for lunar New Year greeting in 2026 at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on February 14.

President Xi Jinping took part in the meeting together with senior officials of the Party and state and delivered a speech.

He referred to the achievements made in different fields last year, including the economy, culture and national defence, and described them as the result of concerted efforts of the whole Party and different ethnic groups across the country.

2026 is the year of 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC and the first year in implementing the 15th Five-Year Plan, he said, hoping that everyone would jointly open up a more beautiful future by advancing courageously, rallying more firmly around the Party Central Committee.

At the meeting artistes gave a performance.
