Final-year students of senior middle schools volunteer for forefront of national defence
February 24, 2026Hundreds of final-year students of senior middle schools in North Phyongan Province have volunteered for the forefront of national defence.
There was a ceremony for congratulating them at the Sinuiju Youth Open-air Theatre on February 22.
Present there were officials concerned, youth league officials and students in the province. Speakers said that national defence is the greatest expression of patriotism and nothing is more precious and patriotic than the life dedicated to national defence, calling on the new generation to perform proud military feats at sacred posts of defending and glorifying the country.
The final-year students took the floor and vowed to glorify every moment of military service with loyalty and feats by following the noble spiritual world of the wartime heroic soldiers and the martyrs who participated in the overseas military operations, bearing in mind the requests of teachers of their alma maters and their parents, brothers and sisters at their native places.
After the ceremony, there was a contest of singing wartime songs in chorus while marching.
