Iran rejects US’ threat of war
February 26, 2026The Iranian permanent representative to the United Nations condemned the US for its threat of war of aggression in a letter sent to UN officials on February 19.
He disclosed that the US is stepping up the preparations for military aggression while steadily reinforcing its troops in the Middle East.
If Iran takes a defensive countermeasure under such circumstances, all the bases, facilities and assets of the hostile forces in the region will be its legitimate targets and the US will be wholly to blame for the unpredictable and uncontrollable consequences, he warned.
And he stressed that threats and acts of aggression based on strength should not be regarded as a normal and legitimate practice or a means of foreign policy.
