The international community is strongly denouncing the US ambassador to Israel for his reckless remark that Israel has the right to claim control over the whole of the Middle East.

The Iranian government said that his remark fuelling Israel’s wild ambition for territorial expansion shows that the US is actively involved in Israel’s wars of aggression and its moves to exterminate Palestinians.

The Saudi Arabian foreign minister said that such an extreme remark arousing the animosity of regional countries and their peoples and undermining the basis of international order has the serious consequence of threatening global peace and security.

Iraq and Egypt branded the shameless US assertion as an infringement upon the sovereignty of regional countries and a wanton violation of international law and the UN Charter, and stressed they resolutely reject any attempt of Israel to realize its wild ambition for territorial expansion.

The League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation issued statements to condemn the US ambassador’s remark as illogical and reckless and express their stand not to tolerate it.
