Among the spectators were Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, other members of the central leadership of the Party, the participants in the Ninth Congress of the WPK, members of the congratulatory groups of Koreans in Japan and the General Association of Koreans in China and Pyongyang citizens.
The event began with the playing of the song "Dear Father".
The youth and students danced to the tune of such songs as "The People’s Jubilation" with deep reverence for the WPK which is bringing about steady prosperity of the DPRK and realizing its people's dreams and ideals on the strength of great ideology and unity.
The nocturnal sky over the capital city was beautifully adorned by the fireworks of various colours representing the great self-confidence of the young vanguard, who are adding lustre to the most glorious era of the Juche revolution.
The atmosphere of the evening gala was revved up as the song "Young People, Forward Following the Party" was sung and a flag dance was performed, demonstrating the strong spirit of the passionate youth writing a new chapter of history of transformation in the vanguard of the general advance as befit the masters of the dignified youth power.
Fireworks were set off amid the playing of the song "We Are Koreans", redoubling the conviction that only immortal victory and glory are in store for Juche Korea advancing under the leadership of the Party.
