To bring medical service closer to people
March 1, 2026Medical workers are conducting dynamic outreach medical service activities in major sites of socialist construction.
According to information available, field clinics staffed with medical workers of central curative and preventive institutions have been providing intensive medical service in major factories and enterprises of different economic sectors and residential areas since the outset of this year.
Medical workers from the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital, the Kim Man Yu Hospital, the Pyongyang University of Medical Sciences Hospital and other medical institutions are providing medical service for workers and technicians at the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill, Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill, Pyongyang Thermal Power Station and elsewhere.
Members of the field clinic from the Okryu Children’s Hospital gave general health check-ups for the smelters of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and their children. On the basis of the results of the check-ups, they made treatment plans for them and treated them accordingly.
After confirming the diagnoses of various diseases of smelters and their children, the doctors worked devotedly.
Meanwhile, they imparted to children and their parents common hygienic and health knowledge according to seasons in plain language, giving them substantial assistance in healthcare.
Medical workers of the Ryugyong Dental Hospital sincerely treated scientists and technicians by applying advanced treatment methods at the Academy of Agricultural Science.
Those from such hospitals as Kim Man Yu Hospital and the Ryugyong General Ophthalmic Hospital conducted energetic hygienic information activities in various forms while providing preventive and curative medical care at the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex and the surrounding residential areas.
As medical workers gave them medical check-ups, explained common health knowledge in plain language and provided them with medicines, workers felt gratitude toward the socialist health system whereby medical workers visit people.
Many working people and residents, who witnessed the remarkable medical skills and sincere devotion of members of field clinics, said that they were very encouraged by the medical care of doctors from central-level hospitals and that they felt more keenly gratitude to their socialist country.
