Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, sent a reply message to To Lam, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, on March 5.

The message said:

Respected Comrade General Secretary,

I express deep thanks to you for sending warm congratulations to me on my reelection as the top leader of the Workers' Party of Korea at the Ninth Congress of the WPK.

Your sincere congratulations and best wishes are active encouragement to our Party’s cause of struggle.

Expressing belief that the friendly and cooperative relations between our two parties and two countries will continue to expand and develop in the long journey for accomplishing the common cause of socialism in the future, too, I sincerely wish you good health and bigger success in your responsible work.
