Chinese defense ministry decries Japan’s moves to revive militarism
March 6, 2026A spokesman for the Defense Ministry of China at a press conference on February 28 denounced Japan for its moves to revive militarism.
He said that history remembers the fact that Japan committed thrice-cursed crimes against the world by launching wars of aggression under the pretext of “life-or-death crisis situation” and that at present the Japanese right-wing forces are making foolish attempts to deceive and mislead the public and invent an excuse for building up its military strength, while clamouring against “external threats” by using the same old trick.
China advises Japan to refrain from trying to reverse the wheel of history, while remaining obstinate, he stated.
He stressed that the international community should check Japan’s new reckless militaristic moves and defend the gains of the Second World War and the postwar international order.
