There recently took place a meeting of the supreme state council of the Russia-Belarus allied state in Moscow.

It was attended by the Russian and Belarus presidents.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his speech that the centuries-old ties of friendship and shared values are promoting the integration of the two countries, stressing that Moscow and Minsk are jointly countering the sanctions and pressure by outside forces and advocating the formation of a multipolar world.

Appreciating that the volume of trade and investment between the two countries is increasing year by year, he stated that Russia and Belarus would do everything necessary to ensure the military security of the allied state in the future, too.

The inter-state treaty on security guarantee has come into force within the scope of the allied state and the new-type intermediate-range ballistic missile Oreshnik has launched into combat service in Belarus, he noted.

At the end of the meeting the presidents of the two countries signed several documents on cooperation.
