Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov denounced the West’s policy hostile toward his country on March 5.

The aim of the anti-Russian war started by the pro-West Ukrainian authorities is to finally weaken Russia and inflict strategic defeat on it, he said, adding that there are all reasons to consider that behind the aim is the wild ambition to make Russia collapse.

The West prepared Ukraine to be a thoroughgoing anti-Russian country and it has been reduced to the West’s tool for a mixed war, but the war has recently turned into a true war, a hot war, as well as the West’s mixed war against Russia, he noted.

The European Union has already outdone NATO in the Russia policy, and never yields to NATO in inciting militarism and sharpening the edge against Russia, he said.
