Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, sent a reply message to Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, on March 10.

The reply message said:

Respected Comrade General Secretary,

I express deep thanks to you for sending warm and encouraging congratulations to me on my reelection as the general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea at the Ninth Congress of the WPK.

Your warm congratulations are valuable support and encouragement to our people’s cause of struggle facing new goals.

Expressing belief that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries will be further developed thanks to the common efforts and will of all the members of the two parties and the peoples of the two countries, I wish you good health and bigger success in fulfilling your important duty.
