Towards new prospect
March 20, 2026The Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea proudly reviewed the successes achieved by the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.
Over the past five years our people achieved great successes, which strike ourselves with admiration, under the leadership of the Party.
In the spirit of self-existence and self-development and with strong confidence, our people created a new trend of the comprehensive development of socialism and put the overall economy of the country on a growth track while developing all regions of the country and all sectors of the national economy simultaneously and in a balanced way.
The huge plans for changing both the capital and provinces and bringing about substantial improvement in the people’s living standard have been vigorously pushed ahead, thus achieving successes.
Last year alone, amid the fierce flames of miraculous increased production kindled across the country, the major industrial sectors of the national economy carried out their highly-set production plans and the agricultural sector registered higher grain yields than the previous year.
The readjustment and reinforcement of major sectors of the national economy have been pushed forward, providing the possibility and guarantee for more confidently starting the attainment of the new long-term goals.
In particular, we achieved proud results in realizing the people’s ideals and well-being and demonstrated to the full the simultaneous development of our state by launching and completing the expanded and advanced regional development policy projects within last year.
Encouraged by this, we are advancing towards the implementation of the new long-term plan.
In all workplaces including factories and farms our people are very eager to carry out the tasks set forth at the Ninth Party Congress.
Though the tasks to be carried out are huge, we are sure of our rosy future as we are led by the WPK which is victoriously advancing the socialist cause with the spiritual strength of the masses of the people as the driving force for working miracles and by dint of their inexhaustible might.
