For sustainable development of economy

Many countries are striving earnestly to promote sustainable development of the economy.

Russia is directing primary efforts to shipbuilding and agriculture.

According to the government’s support programme, the businesses building civilian vessels are paid subsidies of up to 20 percent of the building cost, and several shipyards including the one in the Far Eastern Federal District have already received the subsidies necessary for building ships.

And having set it as one of the government’s prioritized orientations to strengthen state support to small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises, Russia is pressing on with it.

It is going to develop the unmanned technology and actively introduce it into all fields of socioeconomic life, including passenger and freight transport, in the future.

The government is investing large funds in the construction and repair of houses, roads, hospitals and schools, among others, to ensure stable development of the economy in all parts of the country, including the federal districts and autonomous republics. As a result, the productivity and wages are rising in the relevant areas.

Vietnam has been focusing since the beginning of this year on establishing a new economic development system. The prime minister of the country said that GDP increased by 8.02 percent last year, adding this is a manifestation of the resilience of the national economy.

The Lao government recently announced the main direction of the 10th five-year plan for the socioeconomic development of the state, the general goal of which is to increase GDP by more than 6 percent on a yearly average from 2026 to 2030.

The main content of the plan is to ensure a firm political stability, maintain a peaceful and safe social order, achieve sustainable development of the economy, train talents, promote scientific and technological research, develop rural communities and intensify poverty relief efforts.

Equatorial Guinea has taken positive measures to boost the economy by revitalizing tourism.

At a government meeting held at the Malabo people’s palace in late February, the vice-president of the country stressed that tourism should be a dynamic force for the growth of the national economy, calling for establishing a clear-cut action programme for the development of large-scale and systematic tourism.

Côte d'Ivoire is directing efforts to enhancing the role of industry in economic development.

The government of the country has included in the national development plan the issue of increasing the share of industry in GDP from the present 22.7 percent to 30 percent by 2030 and is taking steps to improve the industrial infrastructure.

Tanzania has recently completed in Shinyanga region the construction of a solar power station with a 50 000kW capacity, which is of major significance in solving the energy problem of the country.

It is also trying to enhance the role of tourism in the development of the national economy by increasing investment in the sector and creating a favourable environment for revitalizing it.
