Last February, the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea decided to elect the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un as general secretary of the WPK once again.

This is the evaluation of history on the struggle of the past five years and its fruition.

During its eighth term, the WPK Central Committee successfully pushed such historic tasks as the construction of 50 000 flats in Pyongyang for resolving the problem of dwelling houses for citizens of the capital city, the regional development revolution and rural revolution for eliminating the differences between the capital and provinces and between towns and rural areas and the public health revolution for offering advanced medical service to the people across the country under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Fruitions, including modern rural dwelling houses and regional-industry factories, models of city and county hospitals, an ideal farming town and an exemplary modern livestock farm, were brought about one after another to create the reality amazing even the Korean people.

It is Kim Jong Un, absolutely followed and revered by the Korean people, who made sure that the long-cherished desires, which had been thought to be realized in the distant future or several generations later, were translated into reality in a matter of five years.

The reelection of Kim Jong Un to the top post of the WPK by its Ninth Congress was an expression of a responsible and solemn stand reflecting the choice and will of all the Korean people.

The noble and great personality of Kim Jong Un as the leader of the people who sincerely loves and cares for them is kept as vividly and sacredly in the minds of all the people as they regard him as the leader they will revere and follow forever to the end of the world.

The revolutionary journey of the General Secretary for the country and the people are associated with stories of people shedding tears with strong emotion and of his devoted efforts for the people beyond their imagination as he did not hesitate to do anything for the country and the people.

When the country was faced with the worst public health crisis, which everyone is reluctant to recollect, owing to the inflow of the world-sweeping malignant virus, tens of millions of lives were defended and victory was achieved in the emergency anti-epidemic work under the wise leadership of the General Secretary.

Children of baby homes, orphanages and schools for orphans and other schoolchildren across the country learn to their heart’s content with nothing to envy in the world under the care of the General Secretary who pours more affection on posterity in hard times and advances the revolution on the strength of the love.

On the night of a day two years ago, when the Wihwa Island area on the northwestern tip of the country submerged in an unprecedented flood, he was the first to go to the dangerous place to lead a miraculous air rescue operation to save every one of thousands of flood victims and turned the area into an unprecedented large greenhouse group, an ideal farming town.

As only the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un can translate all dreams and ideals of the people into reality and bring them all happiness and glorify the country as the one of the people, the Ninth Congress of the WPK elected him as general secretary of the glorious Party in reflection of the desire of all the Party members and other people.
