Russia calls for heightening vigilance against terrorist acts

March 26, 2026

Sergei Shoigu, secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, referred to the need to heighten vigilance against the hostile forces' terrorist acts at a consultative meeting on March 17.

The Ukrainian authorities and their patrons have not stopped their attempts to commit acts of terrorism and sabotage in Russia, he said, adding that the means of destruction are changing and developing and the enemies’ methods of using them are becoming tricky.

He also said that the enemies are actively using information and psychological tricks through the internet and others to disturb the public sentiment of Russia.

If Russia underestimates the threat to it and delays the work to fix its vulnerability, it may entail tragic consequences, undermine socio-economic security and obstruct the supply service for armed forces, he asserted.

He stressed that Russia should cope with the attempts to commit acts of terrorism and sabotage aimed at important objects with a high sense of organization.
