Light industry factories across the DPRK are speeding up the production of uniforms, satchels and shoes for new students of the coming new school year.

Uniform producers of the country are making innovations, true to the intention of the Workers’ Party of Korea to preferentially supply all the students with school uniforms.

Employees of different knitwear factories, including the Songyo, Hamhung and Sinuiju knitwear factories, are making every sincere effort to produce good quality uniforms with the mind of the parents making their children’s clothes, while giving precedence to the technical preparations according to designs and enhancing the efficiency of equipment.

Those of the Pyongyang, Hamhung, Phyongsong and Kaesong school uniform factories have contrived and introduced various jigs and tools and applied advanced processing methods to increase the actual cutting rate.

Workers of satchel and shoes production units are also devoting their sincerity to their products.

The Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill carried out their first-stage plan for the production of canvas of satchels for new students by bringing about a collective innovation. The workers there overfulfilled their daily plans by managing equipment and technology in a responsible manner, increasing the operating time of weaving machines and exploring and applying rational methods of turning around machines and piecing thread.

Those of the Pyongyang, Phyongsong and Songchongang bag factories are positively making technical innovations to improve the quality of goods and their processing rate.

Excellent techniques and experiences, presented at several rounds of the meeting for assessing the quality of products of bag factories in all parts of the country held last year and the needle workers’ competition as part of the contest of skilled workers with different jobs in various sectors of the national economy-2025, have been introduced into production to prove effective.

In order to produce convenient, light and smart shoes, shoe manufacturers have established a well-organized system for ensuring quality and met the technical indexes of products by enhancing the role of process inspectors and quality controllers.
