UNGA brands transatlantic slave trade as crime against humanity

The United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution branding the transatlantic slave trade as an extremely grave crime against humanity on March 25.

In connection with this, the Benin government referred to the past slave trade committed against Africans to make them slaves as the harshest act that infringed on human dignity, stressing that the UN General Assembly resolution is a step forward to historical justice.
