The 17th enlarged plenary meeting of the Tenth Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League took place on April 2.

Present there were members and alternate members of the SPYL Central Committee.

Officials of the SPYL Central Committee and youth league officials from ministries, national agencies, provinces, cities and counties were on hand as observers.

The meeting discussed the measures for carrying through the important tasks set forth in the historic policy speech the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made at the First Session of the 15th Supreme People's Assembly.

It studied the tasks and ways for the youth league organizations to intensify the information and motivational activities for making the youth league officials and members deeply grasp the idea and spirit of the policy speech and powerfully arousing them to their implementation.

It also discussed in depth the ways for more dynamically conducting the socialist patriotic movements, the revolutionary mass movements, including the socialist emulation drive, mass technical innovation movement, youth shock brigade activities and do-good-thing movement, and thus making a positive contribution to implementing the new long-term plan set forth at the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

It stressed the importance of the matter for the youth league organizations to conduct the education for more thoroughly establishing the socialist way of life and moral discipline in various forms and methods and in an effective way and to intensify the organized struggle.

It adopted a relevant decision on the basis of the study and discussion of its draft.

Then, oath-taking speeches were made.
