A reception was given by the DPRK embassy in Moscow on March 31 in commemoration of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Present there at invitation were Andrei Klimov, member of the Bureau of the Supreme Council of the United Russia Party, personages of the government, political parties, the parliament and institutions of Russia including the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Party for Peace and Unity and foreign diplomatic envoys in Russia.

Sin Hong Chol, DPRK ambassador to Russia, and staff members of his embassy attended the reception.

The participants laid a flower basket and bouquets before a photo of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un conducting a revolutionary activity and paid tribute to him.

Then, they looked round the photos showing the revolutionary careers and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and the exploits performed by the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un for the development of the DPRK-Russia relations of friendship, works of the peerlessly great men and photos showing the invincible might and proud development of the DPRK.

Speeches were made there.

Sin Hong Chol referred to the fact that the Ninth Congress of the WPK invariably held in high esteem the great Comrade Kim Jong Un at its top post in reflection of the firm faith and unanimous will and desire of all the Korean people.

He stressed that the WPK would make a positive contribution to further cementing and developing the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries by boosting cooperation with several political parties of Russia including the United Russia Party.

Andrei Klimov said that the reelection of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un as General Secretary of the WPK constitutes an event showing once again the sense of continuity of the generation and promising the rosy future of the two countries.

He added that under the leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Un, the Korean people have continued to make great achievements despite all sorts of obstructive manoeuvres of evil forces including imperialism and the DPRK is now advancing towards future with confidence.
