The council of defence ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States met on April 2 in Moscow, Russia.

The meeting adopted decisions on developing military cooperation within the scope of the CIS and perfecting the joint military system.

It also approved the military cooperation plan for 2027 and the documents concerning the material supply and technical support for the armed forces and the operation of the combined air defence system.

The Russian defence minister said that the decisions adopted at the meeting are aimed at implementing the military cooperation plan till 2030, ensuring rational arrangement of cooperation among the combined air defence forces and developing the radiation, chemical and biological defence system.

The meeting was attended by the defence ministers of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, including Russia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
