DPRK footballers advance to quarterfinals of 2026 AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup
April 11, 2026The 2026 AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup is under way in Thailand.
Divided into three groups, twelve teams are to play league matches, and winners and runners-up from each group and two best third-placed teams will play knockout games.
The DPRK team belonging to Group B beat the Jordanian team 8-0 and the Uzbek team 6-0 and played the last match with the ROK team on April 8 (local time).
The DPRK women took the initiative from the beginning of the match to mount successive attacks and defeated their rival 5-0.
They eventually took first place in the group with nine points and came to advance to the quarterfinals.
