A test-fire of strategic cruise missiles and anti-warship missiles was conducted again within the operational efficiency test system of destroyer Choe Hyon of the Navy of the Korean People's Army on April 12.

Comrade Kim Jong Un, together with leading officials in the field of national defence and commanding officers of the Navy, oversaw the test-fire.

The test-fire was aimed at checking the launch control system of the warship's integrated weapon command system, familiarizing the seamen with the missile firing action and confirming the accuracy and the rate of hits of the improved active anti-jamming navigation system.

Two strategic cruise missiles and three anti-warship missiles were test-fired from the destroyer.

The cruise missiles flew for between 7 869s and 7 920s and anti-warship missiles for between 1 960s and 1 973s along the trajectories set in the sky above the West Sea of Korea and hit the targets with ultra-precision accuracy.

That day, Comrade Kim Jong Un heard a report on the examined formation plan of weapon systems for destroyers Nos. 3 and 4 to be constructed and made an important conclusion.

He expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the preparedness of the army's strategic action has been intensified in a qualitative way thanks to various achievements recently made in the field of defence science.

Saying that it is the Workers' Party of Korea's invariable national defence line and most important priority task to steadily and unlimitedly bolster up the powerful and reliable nuclear war deterrent, he clarified the important tasks to be tackled in further increasing the strategic and tactical attack capabilities, a key component of the nuclear war deterrent, and improving the rapid response posture and making it elaborate.
