Agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea met on April 14 to celebrate the 114th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

Present at the meeting were Min Sung Chol, deputy department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials of the UAWK and agricultural workers in Pyongyang.

Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the UAWK Central Committee, made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers referred to the fact that President Kim Il Sung, who embarked on the road of the revolution in his early years, created the immortal Juche idea to usher in a new era in which the masses of the people, who had been disregarded in history for a long time, emerged as the powerful driving force carving out their destiny independently and creatively.

They said that the wise leadership of the President, who continuously toured farms across the country and personally taught the Juche farming method, was the driving force that enabled ordinary agricultural workers and members of the UAWK to become staunch rural revolutionaries and patriotic farmers and follow only the road of loyalty.

The President’s patriotic desire for building a powerful country is now being translated into brilliant reality on this land under the wise guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, they stressed.

They called upon all the agricultural workers and members of the UAWK to thoroughly carry out the important tasks for the agricultural sector set forth at the Ninth WPK Congress by redoubling their patriotic enthusiasm and self-confidence.

The reporter and speakers expressed their determination to fulfil their responsibility and role as masters responsible for the supply of rice in the country in the ongoing grand struggle for implementing the decisions of the Party Congress.
