The regional-industry factories in Yomju and Taegwan counties, newly built under the care of the Workers' Party of Korea, are boosting production, while concentrating efforts on the development of new products and the improvement of their quality.

The Yomju County Foodstuff Factory is producing dozens of kinds of products in great demand through a mass technical innovation movement, and is making preparations to establish a bar rice-cake production process.

The workers and technicians of the Yomju County Daily Necessities Factory are producing distinctive products, including flowerpots of various forms, and are pooling their wisdom and enthusiasm to establish a soap powder production line.

Processed corbicula and short neck clam products made by the Yomju County Seafood Processing Factory are popular among the inhabitants for their good taste and high nutritive value.

The regional-industry factories in Taegwan County are producing sliced vegetables preserved in soy sauce, wild pear syrup and other foodstuffs with edible herbs of high medicinal value and wild fruits as raw materials. They are also putting the production of fragrant laundry soaps and plastic goods on a normal basis, while concentrating efforts on the development of specialities and popular goods suited to the regional characteristics.
