The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Jang Ju Hyon, a woman living in Neighbourhood Unit No. 71 of Sangbong Workers' District, Mundok County, South Phyongan Province, on her 100th birthday.

The centenarian, who received the birthday spread amid congratulations of officials from the county committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the county people’s committee and villagers, expressed her deep thanks to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un for showing great affection to the ordinary old woman.

She, who was born into a poor peasant's family before Korea’s liberation and had experienced the sorrow of a stateless nation, could lead a worthwhile life only after national liberation.

With a resolve to repay the benevolence of the motherly Party and the state, she worked hard at her revolutionary post for building a prosperous country for decades and brought up her children to be pillars of the country.
