Talks held between ministers of DPRK and Russia
April 23, 2026Talks were held between Pang Tu Sop, minister of Public Security of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Vladimir Kolokoltev, minister of Interior of the Russian Federation, at the Pyongyang Assembly Hall on April 21.
Present there from the DPRK side were Kim Song Nam, vice-minister of Public Security, and officials concerned and from the Russian side were members of the delegation of the Ministry of Interior of the Russian Federation and Vladimir Topeha, charge d'affaires ad interim of the Russian embassy in Pyongyang.
At the talks, both sides exchanged the successes and experience gained by the public security and interior service organizations of the two countries in the field of law enforcement and discussed in depth the issues of expanding and developing exchanges and cooperation.
The talks proceeded in a comradely and friendly atmosphere.
At the end of the talks, a 2026-2027 plan for exchanging delegations was signed between the Ministry of Public Security of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Ministry of Interior of the Russian Federation.
The Ministry of Public Security of the DPRK gave a reception to welcome the Russian delegation that evening.
