The project for connecting both sections of the DPRK-Russia border motor bridge was successfully carried out on April 21.

The construction of this bridge being conducted under an agreement reached at the historic DPRK-Russia Pyongyang summit is an important undertaking to provide a substantial guarantee for building and reinforcing the important infrastructure for economic cooperation and vitalizing the bilateral cooperation in a many-sided way, including travel of persons, tourism and circulation of commodities.

The motor bridge was connected in a matter of one year after the start of the project and will soon greet the day of inauguration, thus making it possible to strengthen the friendly and good-neighbourly relations between the peoples of the two countries and further expand and develop the cooperation.

Both sides are now pushing ahead at the final stage with the work to complete and open the bridge at an early date.
