Russian delegation visits Liberation Tower
April 24, 2026The delegation of the Ministry of Interior of the Russian Federation led by Minister Vladimir Kolokoltev laid a wreath at the Liberation Tower in Pyongyang on April 22.
Present there were Kim Song Nam, vice-minister of Public Security of the DPRK, and Vladimir Topeha, charge d'affaires ad interim of the Russian embassy in Pyongyang.
The honour guards of the Korean People's Army lined up at the tower.
The national anthems of the Russian Federation and the DPRK were played.
A wreath in the name of the minister of Interior of the Russian Federation was placed at the tower amid the playing of wreath-laying music.
The participants paid silent tribute to the fallen soldiers of the Soviet Army before looking round the tower.
Then they visited the cemetery of fallen soldiers of the Soviet Army in Sadong District in Pyongyang to lay a wreath and flowers.
