Letter to respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and participants in inauguration ceremony of Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at Overseas Military Operations from Russian President
April 27, 2026The respected
The letter is as follows:
Respected
Dear friends,
I extend my heartfelt greetings to you on the occasion of the inauguration of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations in Pyongyang.
Respected
On the first anniversary of the liberation of Kursk land from the aggressors, I express my deep thanks to you and to all the comrades who made a contribution to carrying out this large-scale plan in the shortest possible time.
The militant friendship between Russia and the DPRK has a glorious history.
At the end of World War II, the Soviet Army, together with the Korean patriots, provided assistance in freeing your country from Japan's colonial rule and defending the independence of the DPRK in the fight against foreign aggressors in the 1950s.
Today, when the enemies occupied some parts of Kursk, Pyongyang helped us resolutely without hesitation.
The Korean soldiers, fighting shoulder to shoulder with the Russian comrades-in-arms, displayed their extraordinary bravery and genuine devotion and glorified themselves with immortal honour.
Their unrivalled feats will remain forever in the hearts of all Russian citizens.
This museum, which is being inaugurated with splendour today, has a mission to convey long the Korean People's Army soldiers' heroism and their sacrifices to the common victory.
This museum will undoubtedly be a clear symbol of the friendship and solidarity between the peoples of our two countries.
I am convinced that we will continue to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the DPRK by joint efforts.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to the brave Korean soldiers who participated in the operations to liberate Kursk Region, and pay tribute to the memory of the heroes who devoted their lives.
