The physical constitution institute of the Koryo Medicine General Hospital has further completed a physical constitution classification system of Koryo medicine.

The institute newly established constitution classification indexes based on years of extensive research and analysis of the theoretical basis and clinical characteristics of the medicine of physical constitutions.

The classification system is a comprehensive system which classifies physical constitutions with high accuracy by using artificial intelligence and prescribes regimens and Koryo medicines according to constitutional types.

The system largely consists of a list for identifying physical constitutions and the one on common knowledge of the constitutions.

The former analyses physical constitutions through consultation and inspection, voice and somatic analyses and three-dimensional anthropometry of relevant indexes reflecting constitutional components.

The latter tells about daily regimens, prescriptions and remedies according to physical constitutions, including constitutional characteristics and indispensable knowledge about regimens.

This system is significant in that it helps minimize the incidence of diseases and prevent them by more correctly classifying physical constitutions and telling about relevant regimens, remedies, etc.

According to Pae Myong Sok, section chief of the institute, the system provides scientific diagnoses that suit physical constitutions to shorten the treatment period and enhance the treatment effects as compared to previously.

 It was awarded a certificate of introduction of national sci-tech achievements at the exhibition of sci-tech achievements-2025 according to sectors of the national economy, as it is an important research hit conducive to the development of Koryo medicine.
