Chinese FM criticizes Japanese Prime Minister for reckless remarks
May 7, 2026A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry accused at a press conference on April 28 Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi of making the reckless remark that Japan should prepare for a “long-drawn-out war”.
Japanese militarism committed heinous crimes against China and its neighbouring countries in Asia, while recklessly expanding invasion, in the past, and the Takaichi regime is openly clamouring about a “tense situation” at present, he denounced.
Japan has cast off the mask of a “pacifist state” by frequently committing dangerous and adventurous acts of provocation in the military and security fields these days, ranging from the “exclusive defense" to the “long-drawn-out war”, he criticized.
Asserting that Japan is making foolish attempts at military expansion again, far from reflecting on its crimes of aggression, he called on the peace-loving countries of the world to sharpen vigilance against Japan’s reckless neo-militaristic acts and resolutely frustrate them.
