Hong Kong bans import of poultry products from Canada, France
May 11, 2026On May 4, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China decided to impose a ban on the import of poultry and poultry products made in some areas of Canada and France.
The authorities related to food security of the SAR announced that the decision was made in connection with the recent outbreak of the H5N1 highly pathogenic bird flu in the areas.
