Special envoy of To Lam, general secretary of Central Committee of the CPV and president of SRV, leaves Pyongyang
May 18, 2026Le Hoai Trung, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and foreign minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and his party left Pyongyang on May 16 after visiting the Democratic People's Republic of Korea as the special envoy of To Lam, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
They were seen off at Pyongyang International Airport by Vice-Minister Pak Sang Gil and other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK and Ambassador Le Ba Vinh and staff members of the Vietnamese embassy in Pyongyang.
