Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed the stand to keep developing the strategic nuclear armed forces at an award ceremony on May 13.

He noted that the achievements made by the Soviet Union in the missile development field are still essential at present.

He stated that Russia would continue to update and develop its strategic nuclear armed forces and develop more powerful missile complexes capable of overcoming the present and future missile defence systems.
