Duma member condemns hostile acts by Baltic nations
May 26, 2026Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the State Duma of Russia, denounced Baltic nations’ hostility towards his country on May 19.
Commenting on a Russian External Intelligence Bureau’s statement revealing Ukraine’s attempt to attack Russia from the Latvian territory, he warned that those countries that allow neo-Nazis to use their airspace in secrecy and commit acts of terrorism against the peaceful Russian inhabitants by dint of drones would face a very serious consequence.
A silly remark by the Lithuanian Foreign Minister that NATO should show Russia its ability to break through a not-so-large fortress the Russians built in Kaliningrad would provide not only Baltic nations but the whole of Europe with a source of calamity, he asserted.
He noted that it would be inevitable for Russia’s military and nuclear doctrine to be invoked in case NATO attacks Kaliningrad.
