A spring amateur golf tournament took place at the Pyongyang Golf Course.

The amateur golf tournament has been held every May and October since 2021, contributing to making golf culture widely known and improving the skills of amateur golfers.

The recent spring tournament was held as team events divided into the male category (category A) and the female category (category B).

The players of group B won the men’s team event.

Group B consisted of the excellent players who won games several times in the previous annual tournaments and rookies as well. They presented thrilling and exciting scenes at important matches decisive of the group’s victory. In particular, Paek Sun Hak, Kim Chol and other veterans demonstrated such refined skills as powerful strokes at the starting point and superb putts, while displaying noble sportsmanship of encouraging and respecting each other and conceding in other’s favour.

Female players in group B also won the women’s team event.

Medals and diplomas were awarded to winners at the awarding ceremony. Kim Yong Il was presented with the stunt award for his refined skills. And the Madusan economic association and the Ryomyong Golf Travel Company were given the supporter’s award for their contribution to the organizing of the tournament.
