A chemical substance leakage accident took place at an aerospace-related manufacturing facility in California, the US, causing confusion. 

According to the local authorities, as the tank containing a highly volatile chemical substance overheated due to the failure in the cooling system, toxic gas began to leak from it, creating a danger of large-scale explosion or toxic pollution at the related facility in Orange County on May 21.

In this regard, an emergency was declared in the county, an order was issued to evacuate about 40 000 inhabitants and schools were closed.

And emergency countermeasures were reportedly invoked in several cities, throwing them into confusion.
