Chinese FM blames Japan for war preparation moves

June 10, 2026

A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry condemned Japan for making preparations for war at a news conference on June 2.

Shortly ago, the Japanese Prime Minister posted an article on the revision of the “three principles of defense equipment transfer” and its working guide on SNS. In this regard, the spokesman said that clamouring about “threats” from outside as an excuse for military expansion and war preparations is the same old trick of militarist Japan.

It is an international legal obligation of Japan to completely disarm itself and not to have industries for rearmament, he noted, saying that Japan has now lifted the embargo on export of lethal weapons and is building up its munitions industry and rapidly switching its security policy to the attack-oriented one.

Such a dangerous trend bears a resemblance to the process of preparations militarist Japan made for starting a war before the outbreak of the Second World War, he said, adding that history teaches a bitter lesson that neglect of deceptions by militarism produced tragic outcomes.
