Brazilian President makes stand against submission to US threat
June 11, 2026The Brazilian President expressed the stand not to give in to the US’ threat to levy tariff at a Cabinet meeting held on June 3.
As to the fact that the US is trying to apply a 25 percent tariff to the goods from Brazil, he declared that his country would no longer adopt a policy of currying favour with big powers.
Brazil, as a democratic and sovereign state, would not succumb to the US’ threat to levy tariff, but adhere to the independent stand, he stressed.
