‘Treasure station’
June 12, 2026The Tanchon non-metal processing station has laid a new foundation for producing finishing materials to produce various kinds of such materials.
After developing a tile adhesive, it buckled down to the development of different kinds of paints including coating materials for the interior and exterior in high demand at construction sites.
The goal of the station is to simultaneously develop and produce various paints ranked among the best ones in the country.
Its strenuous efforts enabled the station to develop seven kinds of paints at a time and launch into production of them. And it developed in succession a tile filler and an artificial stone slab with magnesite dust ores as a raw material.
A little afterwards, it has also been producing heavy calcium carbonate by using the by-products from marble processing at a unit. It is in great demand as it is a good raw material for paints and paper.
The station is now recognized as a station that can develop anything if it wants and a unit with a competitive edge that cannot be neglected in the development of finishing materials.
“In a matter of some years, the variety of our products increased to dozens and our per-employee output value went up considerably. What makes us more proud is that our unit is called a ‘treasure station’ contributing to the living of the local people. We will keep the honour as a ‘treasure station’ by shaping a better future by our own efforts, valuing our own things,” said Pak Hyon, chief of the station.
