For sustainable development of country

June 12, 2026

Russia steps up efforts to promote sustainable development of the country.

It is the consistent stand and will of the Russian government to provide a sure guarantee for the development of the state on the strength of its own technological edge under the circumstances that the Western forces are getting ever more frantic in their attempts to isolate and weaken Russia in all fields.

Therefore, Russia is putting spurs to developing cutting-edge technologies. In particular, it considers the field of artificial intelligence technology to be the one it should develop before any other fields for the security of the country as well as for the economy and directs great attention to it. With the scope of application of AI technology steadily expanding in the military field as well as in the economic and social fields, it worked out a plan for ensuring its rapid development in keeping with the trend of modern warfare and forges ahead with it.

It also pays attention to the development of the nuclear energy industry.

While developing nuclear technology, it presses on with modern construction projects based on it. Nuclear power plants are also planned to be built in Khabarovsk and Maritime Territory and their completion will reportedly bring about noticeable changes in the people’s life and economic development in the regions.

A great deal of energies have been directed to promoting technological independence in order to attain sustainable development of the economy.

Russia has set itself a goal of achieving technological independence in the field of bio-economy by 2030 and gaining the upper hand by 2036 by focusing on its development.

Projects are going full steam ahead to boost the production of rare earth metals. It set a goal of building a rare earth metal processing base in the Siberian region till 2027 and plans to increase its occupation rate of the world rare earth market from the current 1.3 percent to 10.

With a variety of programmes being implemented to foster technological independence, measures have been taken to accelerate the introduction of autonomous systems into all economic sectors and the building of infrastructure including research institutes and labs is in full swing.

Russia is known as one of the countries with high quality of education, but is not content with it. It pursues higher goals.

The Russian ministry of education declared this year as a year of preschool education. This programme aims to improve the quality of education for preschool children, improve the infrastructure of kindergartens, and support the kindergarten teachers.

The Russian government intends to train 1.3 million talented people with great ability till 2028. Advanced means, digital technology and artificial intelligence technology are widely introduced into the educational field. All the educational institutions make sure that the whole course of education of students becomes that of implanting love for the country and families and consciousness of civic duty into their minds.

Russia also directs constant efforts to bolstering up the defence capability to ensure the strategic security of the country.

Nuclear deterrent has become a reliable shield firmly guaranteeing the security and sovereignty of Russia. But it is Russia’s stand to develop the nuclear deterrent at a fast pace without halt.

At the recent ceremony to award orders held at the Moscow Heat Engineering Institute, President Putin said that the successes the Soviet Union had achieved in the field of missile development were still essential, adding Russia would update and improve its strategic nuclear forces and develop more powerful missile systems.

The country also puts in effort to build up not only the strategic nuclear forces but also the conventional forces.

It regards it as an important task of education in patriotism to defend and carry forward the exploits and history of victory in the war and devotes great efforts to it.

June 12 is the national day of the Russian Federation.
