Photo and book exhibition opens in Russia
June 22, 2026A photo and book exhibition opened in Moscow on June 17 to mark the second anniversary of the historic DPRK-Russia Pyongyang summit and the conclusion of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation.
Present at its opening ceremony were personages of the government, political parties, organizations and institutions, including the Russia-DPRK Friendship Parliamentary Group of the State Duma of Russia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK and the Korean War Veterans' Council, and the DPRK ambassador to Russia and his embassy staff members.
Speeches were made at the ceremony.
The DPRK ambassador mentioned the historic significance of the DPRK-Russia Pyongyang summit in June 2024 and stressed that the bilateral solidarity and cooperation have been further expanded and strengthened in all fields over the past two years.
He expressed belief that the photo and book exhibition would contribute to consolidating the ties of friendship between the peoples of the two countries and carrying forward forever the comprehensive strategic partnership between the DPRK and Russia.
A secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, who is head of the Russia-DPRK Friendship Parliamentary Group of the State Duma of Russia, said that the conclusion of the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries is a new milestone in the history of the Russia-DPRK relations and, at the same time, a great motive force for expanding the bilateral relations in all fields of cooperation.
He expressed the resolve to strive for further developing the alliance between the two countries in the future, too.
