Scientific level of Koryo therapy raised

The Koryo Medicine General Hospital has developed a Koryo therapy support system conducive to increasing the effectiveness of treatment based on the traditional medicine.
The system helps diagnose internal diseases by Koryo medicine-based treatment methods and prescribe Koryo medicines and acupuncture more scientifically by using artificial intelligence technology.
It enables medical workers to learn the methodology of Koryo therapy and improve their clinical and technical levels as it comprehensively contains terms in the sector of Koryo medicine and Koryo therapies for various diseases.
The system was awarded a certificate of introduction of state sci-tech hits last year and introduced into newly-built city and county hospitals.
The hospital has also put the traditional therapy of cupping on a scientific basis.
Medical workers of the hospital verified the effectiveness of cupping according to diseases and newly discovered its active mechanism to solve technical problems arising in putting cupping on a scientific basis.
The South Hwanghae Provincial Koryo Medicine Hospital has brought about progress in the treatment of several chronic and obstinate diseases by creating a new acupuncture remedy conducive to putting acupuncture and moxibustion on a scientific basis.
The Hamhung City Hospital has intensified research into Koryo therapy and, in the course of that, developed a treatment apparatus which makes Koryo medicines absorbed through the patient’s skin using thermo-stimulation.
